The Importance of Corporate Support – Paul O’Halloran, Commercial Manager

Since March 2020, and our last event at Knowsley, we’ve missed our Running Bee 10K events so much! We’ve missed the planning and organisation. We’ve missed Race Day itself. We’ve missed watching kids run their MyFirst mile. And we’ve missed putting smiles on all our runners’ faces, whether they be first-timers, runners aiming for a personal best, or runners aiming to finish on the podium.

So for 2021, we are optimistic and busy planning our race calendar with over twenty events! With firm favourites such as the Tour of Tameside, the SPAR City of Preston 10K, plus some new, exciting venues and challenges to be announced very soon.

As a Charitable Foundation, we are committed to making a difference to those who need it most, specifically fighting childhood obesity and getting the inactive active. Since June 2019 we’ve donated over £20,000 to good causes, helping local community organisations across the North West of England.

There are multiple benefits of getting involved in one of our local events… Primarily, it’s your business’s way of getting involved with your local community and giving something back. We would love to see your company name on our Finisher medal or T-Shirt to give you that continued brand awareness. It’s also an opportunity to get your team involved and engaged; running a 10k race is not only fun, it offers a massive sense of achievement and builds a collective team spirit.

As all our profits are donated to good causes and initiatives (and you can be involved!) Corporate business support is vital to ensure every event we host creates value for the community.

The 2020 pandemic has taught us that we need to look after our own health and lifestyle and protect our local communities. If you would like to be involved in one of our events by partnering with us, in a small or big way, let’s have a chat.
