Running Bear meets Running Bee in new community partnership
The Running Bee Foundation are excited to announce a new partnership with Alderley-Edge based, specialist running retailer and fitness enthusiasts Running Bear. Running Bee Foundation and Running Bear hold a shared passion for running and ensuring the physical wellbeing of the next generation with access to essential community facilities.
Support will be covering a number of key areas including great offers in-store and online for Running Bee Foundation event runners, and expert running hints and tips to get the best out of training for upcoming running challenges. They will also be selling Running Bee Foundation merchandise online.
‘‘We are delighted to be partnering up with the Running Bee Foundation, Running Bee is a Foundation that is completely in line with our own values and goals – we put the community at the forefront of everything we do.” Said Jordanna Vyse, Business Manager of Running Bear.
“Their aims for the community and the health and well-being of children match our enthusiasm for running and encouraging all to do so, step for step! We understand how beneficial running can be for everyone, not only physically but mentally too – we want to help as many people as we possibly can to really explore those benefits.
Our team are so excited to be working alongside Running Bee, helping to achieve those important goals together.”
There is additional content and support available online, having recently formed a new virtual running club Running Bear RC. Running Bear RC is an inclusive, online running club with weekly coaching sessions from a team of professional coaches, experienced runners, physios and other like-minded people, using technology to overcome the pandemic restrictions.
“We are delighted to be working with Cat, Jordanna, Sophie, and the whole of the Running Bear team,” said Kevin Harmer, Event Logistics & Sponsor Activation Manager of Running Bee Foundation. “They are so passionate about both running and charity fundraising – it’s a perfect partnership for the Running Bee Foundation. Their product knowledge is second to none and services in-store and online are marketing leading.”
Support from Running Bear will be wholly going towards local projects, that give grass roots groups and facilities the opportunity to grow and improve what they offer the community. Grants issued to date include youth groups, mentoring programmes, supporting those with disabilities and helping the elderly through the lockdowns.
