The Anderton Boat Lift 10K on Sunday 15th May 2022 launches at iconic Cheshire location
The Running Bee Foundation has launched its first Cheshire 10k to add to their series of community race events for 2022, raising money to support local health and wellbeing initiatives.
The Anderton Boat Lift 10K will see runners take on a 10K route amid the beautiful surroundings of Northwich, Cheshire.
The race on Sunday 15th May 2022 will start and finish at the iconic Anderton Boat Lift, known as one of the ‘Seven Wonders of the Waterways’ and nicknamed the Cathedral of the Canals. The route is undulating and takes in the picturesque setting of Marbury Park Country Park and Anderton Nature Park.
Early Bird entry fee for a limited time only is £20 (affiliated club runners) and £22 (non-affiliated club runners) and MyFirst™ mile entries are £5 and includes a commemorative medal. Entries can we purchased https://www.runningbeefoundation.co.uk/events-calendar/anderton-boat-lift-10k/
The race also celebrates an exciting partnership between the Manchester Foundation Trust Charity and The Running Bee Foundation, and profits raised from the event will go towards the vital services and hospitals under the trust’s umbrella.
All runners on crossing the finish line will receive an Anderton Boat Lift 10K commemorative medal, a technical t-shirt and official race chip timing. There will be water available half way and at the end of the course.
A great day out for all the family, the running event will also include a MyFirst™ Mile course. The initiative founded by The Running Bee helps to promote the benefits of starting to live a more active and healthy lifestyle. MyFirst™ Mile has been created to encourage individuals and communities to complete their very first mile, whether they run, walk or jog, and take the first step towards having an active, healthy and happy lifestyle.
