Confirmed races and challenges for 2022
Alder Hey Children’s Charity 5K and 10K
Haydock Park Racecourse – Sunday 3rd April 2022, 9.30am& 11.30am
Runners will have the option to run a 5K or 10K around the historical Haydock Park Racecourse in 2022. In partnership with Alder Hey Children’s Charity, profits from the event will be donated towards the delivery of world-class treatment for families in the hospital.
Anderton Boat Lift 10K
Northwich – Sunday 15th May, 9.30am
The Running Bee Foundation’s new race for 2022. The 10K will start and finish at the iconic Anderton Boat Lift, known as one of the ‘Seven Wonders of the Waterways’ and take in the picturesque setting of Marbury Park Country Park and Anderton Nature Park. A unique setting for a new race in the calendar.
The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge
Yorkshire Three Peaks – Sunday 27th May 2022, 8.30am
The perfect challenge for individuals, friends, family and work colleagues, The Yorkshire Three Peaks route is 24 miles (38.6km), and includes 1585m (5200ft) of ascent.
The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge takes on the peaks of Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, usually in this order, and in under 12 hours. These peaks form part of the Pennine range and encircle the head of the valley of the River Ribble, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Tour of Tameside
Oldham, Stalybridge, Glossop and Hyde – 16th June – 19th June 2022
The popular four day race event is back to challenge past and new runners! Take on one, two, three or all of the iconic races; X-trail 10K, Hell on the Fell, Hero Half Marathon and Dr Ron Hill Hyde 7 across four days of sweat, happy tears and community spirit!
City of Manchester 10K
Heaton Park, Manchester – Sunday 4th September, 9.30am
This City of Manchester 10K returns and will be hosted at the popular Heaton Park for a second year. For a fast route, friendly atmosphere and fun for all the family sign up today!
The SPAR City of Preston 10K
Preston – Sunday 25th September, 9.30am
In partnership with SPAR, Join Preston’s most popular 10K race, starting in the heart of Preston town centre. Join The Running Bee and SPAR along with partners, friends and family for a great fun filled event.

The Running Bee Foundation is committed to supporting health and wellbeing initiatives in the communities it serves and helping in the fight to tackle childhood obesity. All profits raised from its events goes back into the community to help provide opportunities for everyone to live a happier, healthier and more active lifestyle.
All race events will include a MyFirst™ Mile course. The initiative founded by The Running Bee Foundation has been created to encourage individuals and communities to complete their very first mile, whether they run, walk or jog, and take the first step towards living an active, healthy and happy lifestyle.
Winners from each race will receive prize money in the form of a charity donation. Winners can nominate a chosen charity to donate to.
