Flowery Fields – Grant Story
Flowery Fields received a grant of £350 from The Running Bee Foundation
The grant has enabled a brand new running club in the works once schools return to normal.
But that hasn’t deterred Paul Smith, assistant headteacher at Flowery Field School, from getting excited about the prospect of getting pupils moving and enjoying healthy activities.
“Once life has returned to something like normal (and we are able to run extra-curricular activities), our new running club here at Flowery Field will be good to go,” he said.
“The money we have received from the Running Bee Foundation will be instrumental in increasing the activity levels of many children and helping them to re-establish healthy routines. We know that during these periods of lockdown, many children have found it more difficult than ever to be active so the money will make a huge difference.”
